After our week at the Italian Riviera with my family, Jorge and I decided to stay in Milan before flying to Spain. He has never been and I wanted to show him one of my favorite European cities. We only had one night and the following day but still enjoyed it so much.

We booked an airbnb apartment very last minute so unfortunately I don’t have a Hotel recommendation, but will share my favorite restaurants and bars with you in this post.

a monday in Milan.

We spent the day strolling and eating our way through the city. And as always the stay was way too short.

Il Salumaio di Montenapoleone

We enjoyed a long lunch at Il Salumaio. The restaurant offers a stunning courtyard where you can sit and escape the heat and enjoy a chilled bottle of wine for lunch. Located right off the famous Via Montenapoleone makes this the perfect lunch spot when you are around this area.

Osteria di Brera

Unfortunately we could only pick one lunch place for the day and didn’t make it to Osteria di Brera. Yet I can highly recommend it from my last trip to Milan. Go there for lunch, sit outside and enjoy some fresh fish and the buzzing surrounding of the Brera Design District.

Via Fiori Chiari, 8, 20121 Milano

Caffè Fernanda

We initially wanted to have breakfast at Caffé Fernanda, as I wanted to go there for so long. The eatery is located inside the historic Pinacoteca di Brera and is everything my interior and design dreams are made of. Unfortunately the café is closed on Mondays. I will definitely be back on another day…
